U.S. mattress sales declined in February, as compared with the same month of the previous year, according to the Bedding Barometer (pay wall), a monthly sales report published by the International Sleep Products Association. Unit sales decreased by 3.4% , while the wholesale dollar value of those units decreased by 0.9%. The average unit selling price increased by 2.5% as compared with February 2013.
Year-to-date unit shipments and wholesale revenues have dipped slightly, by 1.2% and 0.5% respectively, as compared with the same period last year.
