U.S. mattress sales increased in January, as compared with the same month in 2013, according to the latest Bedding Barometer (pay wall), a monthly sales report published by the International Sleep Products Association. Unit sales rose 1.2%, while the wholesale dollar value of those units remained flat. The average unit selling price decreased 1.2%, compared with the same month last year.
The Bedding Barometer reports U.S. sales activity (including Puerto Rico) for 14 U.S. mattress producers.
