The staff of Self magazine recently selected 55 things that contribute to good health and asked experts to rank them. The results were published in the December issue, and, not surprisingly, sleep was considered “really important.”
The article noted that losing even a half-hour of sleep can affect your mood and weaken the motivation to lose weight and exercise.
“Sleep is your me-time,” says Dr. Harry Lodge, a Self contributor and medical expert. “You can feel good all day or you can have an hour of crappy me-time watching TV tonight.”
