Other revelations:
O 53% of Millennials would rather lose their sense of smell than their technology.
O One in five couples meets online—and one in five divorces involves social media.
O Grandparents are the fastest-growing demographic on Twitter.
O 93% of shoppers’ buying decisions are influenced by social media.
O 90% of consumers trust peer recommendations; only 14% trust advertisements.
O The average person has a seven-second attention span; the average goldfish,
eight seconds.
O Real-time marketing and “newsjacking”—injecting yourself into breaking news stories to generate media coverage for your brand—are becoming staples for savvy brands.
