The entry into the North American market marks a new chapter and introduces Norwegian-made sleep quality to Americans at a time when many suffer from poor sleep health.
Jensen’s introduction to the North American market is supervised by Michael Nermon, a 40-year veteran of the bedding industry with hands-on experience as both a manufacturer and retailer of luxury sleep products.
Rooted in Scandinavian design principles, Jensen’s Original Zone System features a unique construction unlike any beds previously available in North America. Jensen mattresses are reversible with customizable firmness, supported by a genuine box spring construction and a 25-year warranty. Also unique to Jensen’s sleep systems, the top mattress provides a light, airy comfort layer that is reversible and interchangeable for hygienic benefits. In addition, Jensen is known for its market-leading commitment to sustainability, from eco-friendly materials to responsible production, ensuring a safe, non-toxic sleep experience.
Jensen still produces its beds where everything started—in the small Norwegian town of Svelvik. While technology and automation have made production more efficient, it’s the people who make Jensen’s beds what they are. Skilled workers are involved in every part of the process—either directly with their own hands or by overseeing machinery. From quality-checking materials to careful assembly and packaging, nearly 35 individual production steps are required to create a single Jensen bed.
All Jensen bed models can be complemented with a choice of headboards, upholstered in matching or contrasting fabrics and patterns. Select models can also be ordered with the Active ll Adjustable Base.
Limited distribution is available to select retailers of furniture and bedding, as well as Jensen-licensed stores, the design trade, and the hospitality industry. Jensen will stock products in the United States to support its retail partners.
