Innovative Sleep Technologies (IST), a manufacturer of adjustable bed bases headquartered in St. Peters, Missouri, is expanding its sales team in response to increasing demand for its products. The company has hired four seasoned sales representatives to strengthen its presence and awareness of the Symphony Sleep brand in key markets across the country.
“We’ve seen such a positive response to our products and marketing that we needed to expand our sales forces to accommodate the growth,” said John Schulte, president of IST. “By adding proven sales professionals to our expanding sales team, we are better positioned to serve our current retail partners and reach out to those customers we’ve wanted to form partnerships with.”
According to a news release, Jason Kennedy will represent Symphony Sleep as territory manager in Florida. He has more than a decade of industry experience, including roles as brand manager for Yatas Bedding, Turkey’s largest mattress manufacturer, and as a distributor for The BedBoss, managing sales teams, marketing and logistics. Kennedy is also owner and founder of Complete Sleep & Furnishings, his family’s retail business in Florida.
David Oldani, territory sales manager for Missouri and Central Illinois, brings extensive sales and business development experience, having worked with Fortune 500 companies and owned several businesses, including a baseball bat company that introduced pink bats for Mother’s Day in Major League Baseball. His portfolio of past clients includes Home Depot, Ford Motor Company, FedEx, Marriott, Sprint, and Anheuser Busch.
Industry veteran Kim Walters will forge new retailer partnerships and serve customers in North and South Carolina. With more than 27 years in the bedding segment, mostly representing Restonic Mattress, Walters brings passion and expertise in helping retailers grow their businesses and improve their customers’ sleep quality.
With 30 years of bedding and furniture sales expertise, Kevin Willis will represent Symphony Sleep in Tennessee and Kentucky. Willis’ extensive knowledge of the adjustable bed category comes from his sales leadership at Glideaway Manufacturing. His passion for bedding product sales and his experience in retail make him an invaluable resource for his customers, the news release said.
