Wright Creative Branding & Labels announced the retirement of 40-year company veteran and executive Vicki Fishman, an industry leader who has dedicated more than four decades to advancing the design and production of labels and branding products in the home furnishings industry.
“Vicki has been a part of this company, and my life, for as long as I can remember. She worked tirelessly to solve problems and offer solutions to her customers and coworkers in our organization,” said Don Wright, CEO of the Thomasville, North Carolina-based company. “She approached every opportunity with enthusiasm and executed each of her roles with creativity, passion, and integrity. Both professionally and personally, Vicki has been a trusted friend, a respected advisor and an incredible partner. She is like a sister to me, and she will be deeply missed.”
According to a news release, Fishman’s career with Wright began as a graphic artist. When she moved to Dalton, Georgia, she was instrumental in establishing Wright of Dalton, a division focused on providing innovative solutions for clients in the heart of the floor covering industry. While in Dalton, she played a pivotal role in designing and launching major brands for industry leaders such as Shaw Industries, Mohawk Industries, Mannington Mills and others.
Following her tenure in Georgia, Fishman returned to North Carolina as an account executive and designer for the sleep products industry, launching brands across the country that contributed to the success of Wright Labels. At Wright Global Graphics, she excelled as an account executive, was promoted to director of marketing and finished her career as vice president of sales and support.
Throughout her career, Fishman championed mentorship and development. She held leadership roles at the International Sleep Products Association, served on the Better Sleep Council and helped establish ISPA Women’s Network. She was also a member of WithIT, a furniture industry leadership development network that helps encourage and support a new generation of talent, the news release said.
“The Wright Labels team and family congratulate Vicki on her well-deserved retirement, and we celebrate her incredible contributions over the past four decades. Vicki’s legacy of innovation, mentorship, and dedication should be an inspiration to the next generation of leaders at Wright Labels and throughout the home furnishings industry,” Wright said.
