BedTimes editors Waynette Goodson and Kathryn Greene share all the new products they uncovered at Las Vegas Market (and get a big surprise photo bomb from the Serta Simmons Bedding Sheep).

It’s Waynette Goodson. I’m your managing editor of BedTimes Magazine and here today with Kathryn Greene.
Obviously, we are here with the Serta Sheep photobombing our video. And we are in front of the Serta Simmons Bedding Showroom. And I think this will give you an idea that the sheep are back in a big way. In a very big way. So thank you, sheep and have a good rest of your day on the red carpet in there.
Waynette Goodson
Thank you for giving us your time today. So, again, this is Kathryn Greene. She’s our new senior editor, and this is her first time at the Las Vegas Market. So Kathryn, tee us off with just what kind of day you’ve had today, your first experience at Las Vegas Market.
Kathryn Greene
Well, I have to say, I was totally surprised by the scale of the show. There are so many showrooms. There’s so much to see. There’s so much ground to cover. It’s incredible. And I obviously have only made it a fraction of the way through on day one. But I’m going to keep going for the next couple of days.
Waynette Goodson
Right. Well, for these end-of-day wrap videos, and this is day one, Kathryn, just talk about some of the new products you’ve seen. I mean, in January, we launched a ton of new products, and I’m surprised I don’t know about you, but I’m surprised at the number of new products we’ve seen today.
Kathryn Greene
Sure. So I spoke with Steve Maddox from the Paramount Showroom, and he was showing me their latest launch, which they beta tested at High Point Market, but now it’s officially out. That’s the Kiwi collection. So they’re the only licensee allowed to use Joma Wool in the branding. And so it’s a lot of natural fibers, wool content and just like a very natural material mattress.
Waynette Goodson
Right. Well, that reminds me of something I saw in King Koil today. King Koil has launched a whole new wellness campaign, and they’re being very smart about putting three brands under one wellness umbrella. Those brands are their Re-Spun Denim. So they’ve got that recycling story, PureBliss and Natural. So they’re helping retailers tell this new story of wellness with new light boxes and even new benches at the foot of the bed so that, you know, they’re communicating, hey, this isn’t a trend, this is a lifestyle.
So I saw some of that myself. So. So what else did you see today?
Kathryn Greene
So I went inside the SSA showroom, and there was this incredible brand called Arcusbeds. And they totally have a natural focus. I mean, it’s cashmere wool, coconut fibers, unbleached organic cotton lining on the top, like just as natural as it can be because their focus is sustainability at the forefront.
Waynette Goodson
Yeah, so we’re hearing that word a lot, everyone. Sustainability is huge. Now, I will get back to you on South Bay International because they had a new sort of natural product called Allerknit, and it’s like a fiber, and it helps to repel dust mites. So yeah, I hadn’t seen that before. And then South Bay International also did their new Vault, a battery bank-like backup for the adjustable basis.
Waynette Goodson
And they launched a new line of mattresses to again active wellness. They have a new active line of mattresses. So I will toss it back to you. What’s next? What did you see?
Kathryn Greene
So at 3Z Brand’s showroom, one of their lines called Bear, I thought it was really compelling because it’s designed for people who live an active lifestyle, not necessarily athletes, but just maybe weekend warrior types and those just, you know, maybe a mom that just is always running around or somebody that loves hiking and it’s kind of built for that.
Yes. And I thought that was very interesting.
Waynette Goodson
So are you taking notes? We’ve got active. We’ve got sustainability. We’ve got all-natural. And finally, we have to give a big shout-out to SSB Serta Simmons Bedding. They have had such a big year, with lots of forward motion. They have refreshed their entire Beautyrest Harmony line, and Beautyrest Black is always popular. They’ve added a new B-class line to Beautyrest Black, and we’re actually going to do a whole “Take 5” video, and you’re going to get a tour, so you have to look out for that.
