North Brunswick, New Jersey-based mattress manufacturer and licensing group Bedding Industries of America has enhanced its Eastman House Heritage collection with a new organic cotton cover option.
According to a news release, the Eastman House Heritage collection now features a 100% GOTS-certified organic cotton cover for its coil-on-coil lineup. The collection has a 14-inch model in firm, medium and plush, each mattress crafted with a support system of adjustable-friendly open coils topped with a four-inch pocketed unit to provide enhanced support and minimal motion transfer. The inner third of each mattress is reinforced with BIA’s patented Spinal Zone technology, which is proven to reduce back pain and provide proper spinal alignment, alongside Lumbar Zone quilting.
Compared to other foam mattresses, the Heritage collection features a sustainable component since its coil-on-coil construction is primarily crafted of steel. The new organic cotton cover option brings a new look and enhanced feel to the traditional collection, which starts at $1,499 in queen, the news release said.
“A growing number of retailers and consumers are gravitating towards mattresses that feature natural materials when looking for a new sleeping surface or to fill retail floors,” Phil Carlitz, CEO of BIA, said. “By upgrading the cotton cover on this collection, we hope to continue to power our sustainability story and evolve our mattress collections to fit the growing demand for natural components in today’s bedding landscape.”
