Paramount Sleep Co. announced its partnership with Rochambeau Roadside Inn in historic Williamsburg, Virginia, to outfit the property’s 22 rooms with luxury mattresses.
The boutique property will feature two Paramount mattress styles sourced from Virginia cotton and branded as “Rochambed” in its rooms.
According to a news release, the pairing is a natural fit as both companies are family-owned and operated, based in Virginia and share a mission to support local resources. Paramount uses Virginia-sourced cotton, traceable directly from the fields of Suffolk, Virginia, through a collaboration with the Virginia Department of Agriculture and a local gin mill.
Lyle Schiavone, owner of Rochambeau Roadside Inn, located at the gateway to historic Colonial Williamsburg, said he was thrilled to find a supplier so close that “checked all their boxes.” After months of personally trying out several Paramount beds, he selected two brands for the inn’s higher-end suites and standard rooms. “We were seeking a mattress manufacturer that operated at our high standards with natural and locally sourced products,” Schiavone said.
Schiavone said guests will have the opportunity to purchase a mattress from Rochambeau as part of the Rochambed private label program, which will be promoted via co-branded digital and video assets supplied to the property.
“Hospitality is an important category for Paramount, and the partnership mutually supports the strategic goals of both parties while delivering a luxury sleep experience to inn guests,” said Richard Fleck, president of Norfolk, Virginia-based Paramount Sleep. “Sleep is one of the top priorities of guests at a hotel. Sleep and the quality of the mattress go hand in hand.”
Paramount Sleep is partnered with other boutique hotel properties, including Blackberry Farm, Soho House, 21C Museum, 411 York and South Fork Lodge, among others, the news release said.
