Mattress manufacturer South Bay International Inc. has acquired select operating assets of Irving, Texas-based Corsicana Mattress Co. from its current ownership group. Company officials said the transaction, completed Nov. 14, strengthens South Bay’s national footprint and supports its continued commitment to delivering high-quality sleep products to retailers and consumers throughout North America.

“This acquisition reflects South Bay’s strategic expansion and our commitment to long-term operational excellence,” said Toby Konetzny, CEO of Rancho Cucamonga, California-based South Bay International. “Corsicana has built meaningful customer relationships over many years, and our goal is to support those partnerships while elevating quality, efficiency and innovation under our leadership.”
According to a news release, South Bay is establishing a Corsicana division, which will operate under a focused leadership structure and support operational continuity across legacy Corsicana products and programs. South Bay will appoint senior leadership for the division to ensure operational integration and continuity for customers and employees through the ownership transition.
South Bay will continue supporting Corsicana’s existing retail and e-commerce partners without interruption as the division transitions to its new operating structure, the news release said.
“The Corsicana brand has served the sleep products market for decades, and we have an opportunity to build on that legacy with renewed focus and resources,” Konetzny said. “South Bay’s leadership, manufacturing integration and operational systems provide a strong platform for future growth.”
