Farmingdale, New York-based mattress and sleep accessories supplier Bedgear has hired three new team members to help shape the brand’s future in key markets.



According to a news release, Tashmal Martin joined Bedgear as a sleep coach, bringing 13 years of sales experience and nine years of bedding industry knowledge to the team. In his new role, he conducts sales training seminars for retail associates, represents the brand at tradeshows and marketing events, updates and refines training programs, and provides insights on marketing collateral and sales opportunities.
Josh Bordelon, Bedgear’s new territory manager for Louisiana and Mississippi, previously served as a field sales representative at Serta Simmons Bedding. He has more than 20 years of experience in the bedding industry, including retail management, store ownership and sales leadership.
The new territory manager for Latin America and the Caribbean, Raul Guilamo, comes to Bedgear from Resident Home, where he supported sales growth and trained teams across multiple regions. He brings more than 10 years of experience in sales strategy and coaching to the company.
Bordelon and Guilamo’s focus is on expanding Bedgear’s presence and building strong partnerships throughout their respective territories. In their new roles, they develop relationships with key stakeholders, deliver marketing and sales presentations to retail partners, monitor competitive activity to maintain a market advantage, and act as liaisons to identify new business opportunities, support negotiations and drive growth, the news release said.
