Verona, Mississippi-based Capital Bedding has hired industry veteran Scott Miller in the newly created position of company vice president. Miller started on the retail side of the bed business in 1978 and has more than 45 years of experience in the industry. His well-rounded career includes senior management positions with Simmons, International Bedding Corporation, Natura, Southerland, Dreams LLC., Glideaway, and most recently, Corsicana Mattress. In 1998, Miller created the Heavenly® Bed for Westin Hotels.
In a news release, CEO and president of Capital Bedding Doug West commented that “Miller joined us in March and has brought a wealth of experience and knowledge to all facets of our business. He has been focused on company efficiencies, streamlining our current product offerings, re-merchandising and adding new product offerings and creating new sales and marketing strategies.” Miller also recently developed a new mattress brand for Capital Bedding that will launch soon, projected to boost sales for the remainder of 2023 and into 2024.
