Innovative Sleep Technologies’ residential bedding brand Symphony Sleep is helping furniture and mattress retailers reach consumers who are currently being overlooked and underserved in the marketplace. The company’s ESHILO adjustable base accessory kit is designed to enhance sleep and in-home care for millions of people who are aging in place, or have conditions such as Parkinson’s disease, autism and vertigo, among others.
“Symphony Sleep offers an unprecedented opportunity for retailers to become a complete solution provider, and the ESHILO represents a significant opportunity for retailers to expand their market reach, addressing the growing demand for adaptive sleep solutions across multiple demographics,” said John Schulte, president of St. Peters, Missouri-based Innovative Sleep Technologies.
The U.S. Census Bureau estimates that the 65-and-older population will reach 80.8 million by 2040. The company said that with the aging-in-place market projected to reach $2 trillion by 2032 and growing awareness of sleep’s importance in managing various health conditions, retailers can now offer a single solution that combines medical functionality with residential comfort.
According to a news release, research indicates that up to 80% of children with autism experience sleep difficulties, including trouble falling and staying asleep. The ESHILO offers customizable positions that help create optimal sleep environments, potentially improving sleep quality and overall well-being for these individuals.
For those living with Parkinson’s disease, the ESHILO can help alleviate discomfort and stiffness that affect sleep quality and mobility. Its individualized sleep positions make it easier and safer to enter and exit the bed and helps caregivers support their patients or loved ones with daily needs, the news release said.
Company officials said the ESHILO’s ability to provide elevation options can also help manage vertigo symptoms and multiple positions to enhance circulatory and respiratory health.
The ESHILO features and functionality include a German-engineered height adjustment system ranging from 10 inches (ground level) to 31.5 inches (waist height); precision tilting capabilities supporting both Trendelenburg (feet above head) and reverse Trendelenburg (head above feet) positions; a quick-connect frame-to-frame installation system; and an ergonomic wired remote. The ESHILO is compatible with all Symphony Sleep adjustable bases, available in twin XL and queen size, the news release said.
“The ESHILO exemplifies our commitment to holistic design and precision German engineering. Every detail has been carefully considered to enhance the quality of life for both users and their caregivers, while maintaining the aesthetic appeal of residential furniture,” Schulte said.
