“This new equipment represents a major step forward in our ability to serve our retail partners,” said Ming Liu, vice president of DeLandis. “Not only has it helped us increase our laminating capacity by 33%, but we’re also streamlining production and ensuring faster turnaround and greater consistency across our product lines. Just as importantly, the installation has created 20 new jobs requiring a specialized skill set, and we are proud to be investing in training and expanding opportunities for our team and the community.”

According to a news release, the new laminating machine was engineered to exact specifications and pretested by the manufacturer in China before being disassembled, shipped and reassembled at DeLandis’ U.S. facility. This process ensured the equipment was ready for integration into production, minimizing downtime and guaranteeing consistent performance from day one.

DeLandis has invested in training to prepare its team members to operate the new machinery. The initiative also provided an opportunity to strengthen its workforce with new hires while reinforcing its commitment to developing advanced manufacturing skills within the community, the news release said.

“Our team has worked hard to master this advanced equipment, and it’s exciting to see the difference it makes in our daily operations,” said General Manager Lily Sun. “Beyond improving efficiency, this machine allows us to fulfill unique orders more quickly, giving our retail partners flexibility and reliable access to the products they need. It’s a significant step forward for our facility.”
