Innofa, a global manufacturer of textiles and sleep solutions with production facilities in the United States and Mexico, has launched a new subsidiary, Innofa Romania SRL, as part of the company’s global expansion strategy. This new facility is committed to strengthening Innofa’s manufacturing footprint in Europe by enhancing the company’s ability to deliver high-quality cut-and-sew services to its European customers.
According to a news release, Innofa Romania will focus on producing innovative textile products, with an emphasis on cutting and sewing quilted or smooth-top mattress covers. This strategic move is part of Innofa’s continued investment in its global operations, dedicated to providing premium products that meet local market needs while driving product excellence and sustainable growth.
“The establishment of Innofa Romania is a major step forward in our long-term strategy to increase our global footprint and offer our European customers a more streamlined, locally sourced solution,” said Joost Van de Wouw, CEO of Innofa EU, and Johan Cleyman, CEO of Innofa USA LLC. “With this new facility, we can offer more flexible lead times, reduce transportation costs and provide enhanced service to better support our customers in Europe. We’re confident that Innofa Romania will play a key role in our commitment to operational excellence and customer satisfaction.”
Strategically located to leverage Romania’s strong manufacturing sector, Innofa Romania will focus on high-quality cut-and-sew operations, specializing in textile production for a wide range of industries, including bedding and other specialized fabric products. This expansion enables Innofa to enhance its supply chain efficiency, mitigate risks associated with international shipping and better respond to the growing needs of European clients, the news release said.
Innofa Romania will begin operations this month, led by Sam Devriendt. The company said it plans to ramp up production in the coming months, bringing additional job opportunities to the region and further strengthening Innofa’s position in the European market.
