Precision Textiles, a nonwovens and laminate provider headquartered in Fairfield, New Jersey, has been recognized as the winner in the Best Components Supplier category in Furniture Today’s 2024 Reader Ranking Awards. The recognition highlights the company’s value in providing high-quality fire-retardant (FR) components and its specialization in designing innovative, FR solutions for the bedding industry. In the spirit of the season, Precision Textiles turned the honor into an opportunity to give back by planting 2,500 pine trees across North Carolina, focusing on areas devastated by Hurricane Helene.

According to a news release, Furniture Today’s Reader Rankings program invites industry professionals to recognize companies for their excellence and innovation in various categories. The awards celebrate the best of the best in the industry, with nominations and winners determined by the publication’s readers.

“We are honored to be named the Best Bedding Component Supplier in Furniture Today’s Reader Ranking Awards,” said Scott Tesser, CEO of Precision Textiles. “This recognition reflects our commitment to providing innovative, fire-retardant solutions tailored specifically to the bedding industry. Our products, including laminated materials and customized turnkey solutions for mattress manufacturers, prioritize consumer safety, sustainability, and quality — values that have positioned us as a leader in the field. However, we believe that true success comes with responsibility, which is why we are using this moment to make a meaningful difference for our planet and our communities.”

According to Tesser, the tree donation, made in partnership with the Arbor Day Foundation, will focus on areas severely affected by Hurricane Helene, which caused widespread destruction in September 2024. By planting thousands of longleaf pine trees, the company aims to aid in the region’s recovery by reforesting damaged land, improving soil health and creating long-term environmental benefits. “This initiative is about more than just giving back. It’s about turning a proud achievement into something that contributes to a sustainable and resilient future — both for the people affected by the hurricane and for our planet,” Tesser said.

The longleaf pine ecosystem restoration project aligns with Precision Textiles’ long-standing commitment to preserving the planet through leadership in sustainability, environmental responsibility and positive change, the news release said.
