Research Backs Symphony Sleep’s POS Video Initiative

St. Peters, Missouri-based Innovative Sleep Technologies and its Symphony Sleep brand are validating their point-of-sale video retail strategy with consumer research showing that in-store video drives engagement and influences purchasing decisions.

Research Backs Symphony Sleep’s POS Video Initiative
Symphony Sleep cites consumer research that supports its point-of-sale video experience as a merchandising model for retail growth.

According to a news release, consumer research supports Symphony Sleep’s use of POS video. Studies show video is more effective than text at explaining unfamiliar products, with viewers retaining up to 95% of a message delivered by video versus 10% when reading. Retail Dive reports that 72% of consumers prefer video when learning about products. Research by Wyzowl found that 84% have been persuaded to make a purchase after watching a brand’s video, and 46% say visual content boosts confidence in major purchases. NielsenIQ also reports that 86% of shoppers trust product information more when visuals are combined with ratings and reviews

Symphony Sleep said that aligning its in-store video tools with these consumer behaviors helps retailers energize their floors, educate shoppers and elevate the adjustable base category. Available to all retail partners at no cost and accessible via a QR code at the display, each two- to three-minute video demonstrates an adjustable base or accessory, highlighting key features, benefits and compatibility. Company officials said this “video-at-the-moment-of-decision” model brings professional, consistent storytelling to every customer interaction, even during busy hours or in understaffed stores.

“Video can be a decision-making tool for consumers and a sales enablement tool for retailers,” said John Schulte, president of Symphony Sleep and Innovative Sleep Technology. “For our retailers, it bridges the gap between curiosity and conversion.
When shoppers can see how the product moves, functions and enhances their sleep experience, it leads to deeper engagement and higher close rates.”

The POS video initiative is part of Symphony Sleep’s broader strategy to be a complete retail growth partner, offering German-engineered adjustable bases and accessories with end-to-end sales enablement tools — from creative POP displays to comprehensive training and digital assets, the news release said.
