Princeton, New Jersey-based Therapedic International has partnered with Rancho Cucamonga-based South Bay International on a new adjustable base program for its retail partners that is intended to drive promotion and increase attachment rates. “Demand for adjustable bed bases has been growing as more consumers recognize their functional and wellness benefits,” said Gerry Borreggine, CEO and president of Therapedic
The program includes two models. The Flex200 model features a wireless remote for adjustability, a retainer bar and an emergency battery strip. According to a news release, the Flex300 model is a step-up version with USB charging ports, underbed lighting and dual massage with three intensity levels. Both models are available in twin XL, full, queen, king and cal king split sizes and are drop-shippable via FedEx.
“Beyond drawing customers, our adjustable bases offer retailers a healthy margin of 40 to 50 points with attachment rates around 30%,” said Toby Konetzny, CEO of South Bay International.
