Elektroteks Provides Container Homes to Turkish Earthquake Victims

Elektroteks created 40 container homes for the earthquake victims.

In response to the devastating earthquakes in Kahramanmaraş, Turkey, Elektroteks Co., a leading manufacturer and exporter of mattress machinery, has stepped up to help the people in the communities that were most affected.

Understanding the urgent need for safe and comfortable shelter, Elektroteks dedicated a 30,000-square-foot area and a team of 10 employees to create 40 container homes for the earthquake victims.

They completed the manufacturing and installation of these homes in just two and a half months, offering much-needed shelter to those who had lost everything, according to a news release.

“We are deeply saddened by the tragedy that has affected so many lives in our community,” said Serkan Güler, CEO of Elektroteks, based in Bursa, Turkey. “While our efforts may seem small compared to the scale of the disaster, we believe that every bit of support counts. We hope these container homes can provide a sense of stability and comfort for the families who have experienced unimaginable loss.”

Elektroteks has committed to build at least 20 more homes, providing hope and a sense of normalcy to those affected by the earthquakes. The company’s actions during this difficult time have not only provided essential support to the victims but have also demonstrated the power of community and empathy, according to company officials.

“Elektroteks has shown that, together, we can make a difference in the lives of those who need it most, one small step at a time,” Güler said.
