The rise of compressed, direct ship-to-consumer mattresses and UPS-shippable metal platform bed frames has brought significant change to the mattress industry — and a shared challenge: mattress slippage. To address this concern, St. Louis-based manufacturer and retailer Boyd Sleep has introduced the MattLock Nonslip Steel Mattress Base, which is engineered to prevent mattress movement and provide exceptional support. With Boyd Sleep launches like this, the company continues to innovate in the market.
According to a news release, the MattLock Nonslip Steel Mattress Base can be used as a stand-alone mattress platform or integrated into most decorative bed sets or platform beds. Its advanced grip technology securely anchors the mattress to the base, eliminating shifts or slides during use.
The base replaces traditional wood slats, boosting the static weight capacity to 2,400 pounds. It features heavy-duty double-weld construction with corrosion-resistant treatment and complete spoke coverage. Tool-free pin-and-slot construction allows for quick setup and installation in about five minutes. Available in twin, full, queen and king sizes, the MattLock base can be shipped in a compact, single-box via UPS or FedEx, the news release said.
