Unlock Better Sleep with Terry Cralle
Having wine right before bed, or any alcohol right before bedtime, can help people fall asleep, but during the night, it will metabolize and then cause middle-of-the-night awakenings. Now, this is problematic because when you wake up after that kind of restless sleep, you’re going to be tired throughout the day. And a lot of people consume way too much caffeine to stay awake throughout the day, and then they turn back to alcohol at night for help to unlock better sleep.

Another vicious cycle to be aware of. If you’re going to have an alcoholic beverage at night, do it earlier and stay hydrated. Hydration is very important to getting good quality sleep and can help you unlock better rest.
