Farmingdale, New York-based bedding company Bedgear recently hosted a ribbon-cutting ceremony to celebrate the opening of “The Peak,” its new manufacturing and distribution facility in Salt Lake City, which will also serve as its new West Coast-based headquarters. According to a press release, The Peak will enhance delivery times for the company and increase its operational efficiency in the Western United States and Canada. Additionally, it will expand the company’s manufacturing capabilities. There are already plans in place for full-scale, direct-to-consumer fulfillment by 2025.
“Summiting a mountain is no different from what we do at Bedgear every day,” said Eugene Alletto, founder and CEO of Bedgear. “We’re constantly leveling up and reaching new heights. ‘The Peak’ in Salt Lake City signifies our strategic move towards enhancing customer experience, reducing environmental impact and preparing for future growth in the sleep solutions industry.”
Also present at the ceremony were Spencer Cox, the governor of Utah, and Erin Mendenhall, the mayor of Salt Lake City, who both delivered remarks.
“That the governor and I are here together is a unique thing that speaks volumes about the company and the culture that Bedgear has built,” said Mendenhall. “You have a very unique ethic that is not only needed in the business community but in the world — and especially here. We prioritize building families, building wellness and building community and that is why Bedgear, as a the governor said so well has been a Utah company all along. We know you’re going to fit in here and we welcome you with open arms.”
