According to a news release, the new Snowbird hybrid mattress is designed for use with an adjustable base and features Diamond Ice Flex — mineral-infused bands applied between the comfort layers to deliver a continuous cooling effect proven in tests to reduce body temperature for more than 12 hours.

Industry research shows growing consumer and retail interest in split-head mattress models, with attachment rates to adjustable bases rising significantly — especially among higher-end retail buyers. Leading manufacturers identify split-head designs as one of the fastest-growing categories in the market. With the U.S. hybrid mattress segment projected to exceed $5 billion by 2030, Diamond’s introduction of a split-head model positions the brand to meet evolving consumer needs with innovation and precision, the news release said.

“As more consumers seek personalized comfort and invest in adjustable bases, the split-head mattress segment is experiencing record growth,” said Mike Juoni, senior vice president of sales at Diamond Mattress. “We’re helping our retail partners stay ahead of the curve by integrating this popular feature into one of our best-performing collections.”

Company officials said Diamond Mattress will expand the split-head concept in the coming months to include additional collections such as Dreamstage 2.0, Ethos Avani, and Technogel, reinforcing its commitment to personalized comfort.
