Ergomotion, an adjustable base supplier headquartered in Santa Barbara, California, recently promoted two leaders and a new hire to key executive roles.

A 15-year veteran of Ergomotion, Kyle Muench has been promoted to vice president of sales operations. He will focus on domestic sales and is responsible for growth category key accounts and retail. Muench previously oversaw all Ergomotion operations, led the company’s supply chain growth and supported customer acquisition.

“Kyle has been with us from the inception of the company. His intimate knowledge of the company and our customers makes him the natural fit for the role,” said Gui Peres, chief operating officer.

Newly named Director of Marketing Kyle Burns will work closely with the sales and product teams to bring innovative products to market and identify features, price points and healthy margins. He will also lead initiatives to promote consumer awareness of the health, wellness and lifestyle benefits of adjustable bases and boost attachment rates and sales through the company’s various business segments.

Prior to joining Ergomotion in 2022, Burns served for more than 20 years in various leadership roles in the health and wellness industry. Before his promotion, he was business development manager in the company’s wellness division and played a key role in launching the ErgoSportive and Dawn House lines.

“Kyle Burns’ background in the sports industry and DTC brands will add a fresh perspective to our marketing solutions to our industry partners,” Peres said.

Joe Smith joins the company as senior vice president of operations. He was previously with Serta Simmons Bedding as vice president of strategic sourcing. During his eight years there, he played a pivotal role in sourcing adjustable bases, boxed mattress products and other essential commodities. Smith’s career includes 20 years in the semiconductor industry where he worked with robotic capital equipment and a range of companies from early-stage startups to global multibillion-dollar manufacturers that spanned three continents.

Peres said, “Joe’s diverse background and keen understanding of complex operations combined with his strategic mindset to drive efficiency will be tremendous assets for Ergomotion.”
