LogicData North America has selected Matt Skinner for the role of president. Skinner, who has served as director of sales since January 2022, will retain this position while he takes on the new senior leadership role.

His appointment coincides with the relocation of LogicData North America from Grand Rapids, Michigan, to Cedar Springs, Michigan, a move that brings the team closer to their partners in the Jiecang Group. Skinner succeeds Dexter Weber.

“The global LogicData team extends their sincere gratitude to Dexter Weber for his dedicated service over the last eight years,” said Johannes Gradwohl, vice president of human resources, facility and administration, LogicData. “However, we’re confident that the appointment of Matt Skinner will herald a new dawn in our North American business. During his time at LogicData, Matt has proved himself to be one of our finest assets, and we’d like to assure our customers and partners in the U.S. that their future is in the safest of hands.”

Skinner joined LogicData in January 2022, and he brings a wealth of industry knowledge and expertise to this new role, according to a news release. His accumulated experience, both in LogicData’s product range and the home and office furnishings market, well positions him to continue the North American division’s growth and success.

Prior to his appointment as president, Skinner played a pivotal role in expanding LogicData’s reach across North America — including introducing the Cosmo Line range of compact shippable adjustable bed frames. His ability to foster strong customer relationships and bring new programs to market — such as the B2B-designed Logicflex range and the OEM-focused Optimus Program — has been key to the company’s recent achievements in its height-adjustable table business.

Throughout his career, Skinner has held various sales and sales leadership positions, accumulating decades of experience in the contract furniture industry and related sectors. In previous roles as district manager at Teknion and global account manager at HNI Global, he successfully managed dealer partnerships, overseeing relationships with multinational corporations.

In his new role as president of LogicData North America, Skinner will lead the company’s sales team and spearhead efforts to strengthen existing customer relationships as the company grows in the U.S. market. According to company officials, Skinner will keep LogicData at the forefront of innovation for years to come, thanks to his track record and strong focus on business expansion.
