Woburn, Mass.-based bedding manufacturer and licensing group Spring Air International is the exclusive distributor of the Cruise II rocking bed base. The patented, premium product manufactured by Innova Sleep Systems adds a new level of health and wellness benefits to the adjustable bed base’s ability to raise or lower the head and foot sections of a mattress.
According to a news release, the Cruise II offers a head-to-toe rocking motion like a baby in a cradle, providing a relaxing movement that enriches sleep quality and the ability to fall asleep faster.
“The head-to-toe elliptical movement triggers a vestibular massage that not only helps soothe anxiety by lowering cortisol levels, but also engages the body’s parasympathetic response to promote overall health and wellness,” said Nick Bates, president and CEO of Spring Air. “Rocking stimulates the body’s natural production of melatonin, our natural sleep aid, and studies have shown that rocking can increase the duration of deep sleep stages, leading to more restorative sleep.”

Among its features, the rocking base offers wave and pulse massage modes and includes an underbed light. Operated by a wireless, backlit remote with two preset memory positions, a flashlight and a timer, the bed base automatically stops rocking after six hours and returns to the horizontal position. The suggested retail price for the Cruise in queen is $3,999, pending any additional tariffs, the news release said.
