HARTFORD, Connecticut – Leading independent producer Gold Bond Mattress is expanding its presence in the Southeast with the appointment of Bryant Decker as its regional sales director overseeing the Florida, Georgia, Maryland, North Carolina, South Carolina and Virginia market for Gold Bond.
Decker comes to Gold Bond from International Furniture Direct, where he led sales initiatives in the North Carolina and South Carolina markets. Previously, he was on the sales team for Best Home Furnishings, supporting dealers in Upstate New York.
But a key part of Decker’s background was the time he spent in logistics with Lynch Furniture and on the sales floor at Value City.
“Bryant is a triple-play when it comes to supporting dealers. He was on the sales floor and knows what RSAs and owners need to be successful. He has worked in the warehouse and shipping, gaining strong insight into the logistics side of the business. On the sales side, he has a terrific track record of matching retailer needs with the right products. A native to the Rochester area of New York, Decker grew up in the industry, traveling with his father, who instilled the strong work ethic required in this business.
