AVB BrandSource, a merchandising and marketing co-op for independent home furnishings, appliance and consumer tech dealers, has appointed Chad Fischer to the newly created role for the merchandising team as director of bedding solutions.
According to a news release, Fischer has more than 15 years of experience in the mattress industry in both the retail and vendor segments. His background includes nine years as bedding director of the Nationwide Marketing Group and two years as general manager of the mattress division at Mega Group USA prior to its merger with Nationwide. He also served as national sales manager for Serta Mattress Co.
In his new post, Fischer will be responsible for developing and implementing growth strategies for BrandSource’s bedding division, working closely with vendors and industry partners to ensure the success of the group’s independent dealer members, the news release said.
“We are thrilled to welcome Chad to our team, where his extensive experience in bedding will be invaluable as we continue to innovate and grow this division,” said Tom Bennett, president of BrandSource, headquartered in Tustin, California.
Fischer said: “I am excited to join the BrandSource team and help lead the bedding division to new heights. I look forward to leveraging my experience and expertise to deliver innovative solutions and drive growth for our members.”
