Sleep Number Corp.’s board of directors has hired Linda Findley, former CEO of Blue Apron Holdings, as its new president and CEO.

Findley, 52, will begin her new job April 7. She is replacing the retiring Shelly Ibach, who has been chair, president and CEO since 2012. Ibach will remain board chair until the company’s 2025 annual meeting.
Sleep Number said Findlay has extensive experience leading consumer brands that combine digital and physical products. She was CEO of Blue Apron, a producer of meal kits for home chefs, from 2019 to 2024. Earlier, she was chief operating officer at online marketplace Etsy Inc. from 2016 to 2018 and held a variety of senior executive roles at Evernote Corp. from 2012 to 2015. She also led global marketing, business development and customer service at Alibaba Inc. from 2009 to 2012.
“We are excited to welcome Linda to Sleep Number as our new CEO,” said board member Phillip Eyler, who will become chair following the annual meeting. “She will advance our ongoing transformation and guide the company into its next chapter. Her commitment to innovation and deep expertise in using technology to connect with the customer align well with our mission to improve lives through individualized sleep experiences.”
The board said Findley’s appointment follows a rigorous search and selection process conducted by the company’s independent directors with the assistance of a leading executive search firm. Every independent director engaged with the finalists, and the board’s decision was unanimous. Ibach recused herself from final interviews as well as the vote on her successor’s appointment.
“Millions of customers trust Sleep Number to help improve their health and wellness through a better night’s sleep,” said Findley. “It is an honor to join the team as president and CEO at this pivotal time and lead the company as we continue to advance our business transformation. I look forward to collaborating with the board, team members and partners to unlock new opportunities for profitable growth.”
