Precision Textiles has strategically partnered with Culp Home Fashions to bring its patented IQ FR Inlay yarn technology to market. The proprietary yarn is designed to eliminate the need for laminated or standalone internal FR solutions while enhancing comfort, fabric aesthetics, functionality, performance and safety in mattress production.
According to a news release, IQ FR Inlay is a sustainably sourced “all-in-one solution” designed for the bedding industry. The technology allows mattress manufacturers to transform traditional circular knit fabrics into chemical-free, flame-resistant materials. It brings inherent, chemical-free FR protection as close as possible to the sleep surface while addressing critical industry challenges such as product weight, breathability and cost.

The IQ FR Inlay is part of Precision Textiles’ IQFIT family of products. Both the finished fabric and mattress covers that incorporate the IQ FR Inlay are available through multiple supply locations. This accessibility ensures that mattress manufacturers worldwide can integrate flame resistance into mattress production to support broader industry adoption, the news release said.
