College stress and sleep. Let’s talk about stress. We know that college can be stressful. It’s a very competitive environment. Often, the first time a kid is away from home without the typical rules to really keep the stress levels down and other things that are related like depression, anxiety, and propensity for substance abuse. These kinds of things are all related to sleep. And so, it’s important to consider sleep a top priority.

Sleep is a source of resilience, and it helps keep depression and anxiety at bay. So, making that a top priority should be a top priority for sure.
