I’ve been a nurse for a long time. People don’t get it. And that’s figuratively and literally. And I talk to patients about blood pressure medication. Talk to them about smoking. They kind of get it. Everything strikes a chord except for sleep. And I’ve done health fairs. I’ve talked to patients. I’ve talked to audiences. People from every walk of life, every educational level.

They say who has time? It’s not realistic. I’ll sleep when I’m dead. It’s so frustrating to me. Something so primary in terms of our health and so foundational. Everything dealing with health has to do with sleep. And people aren’t getting it. It’s a tall order to get that message across.
