City of Hope to Honor David Binke

City of Hope Honors Binke. King Koil CEO David Binke

City of Hope will honor three industry veterans including King Koil CEO David Binke at the West Coast Golf & Tennis Tournament to be held June 10, 2024, in Coto de Caza, California.

A 42-year industry veteran, Binke is the CEO of mattress manufacturer King Koil and a trustee of the International Sleep Products Association (ISPA). Under his leadership during the past five years, Binke has changed King Koil’s domestic business model from a licensing structure to a direct-to-retail manufacturing platform that supports leading retailers across the country, according to a news release.

Binke’s career includes serving as CEO at E.S. Kluft & Co. and previously, as executive vice president of sales at King Koil. He was also executive vice president of Spring Air Los Angeles, where he held an ownership position. Prior to his move into manufacturing, Binke held several buying and merchandise management positions with Robinsons-May, Macy’s and Montgomery-Ward.

In addition to Binke, the other City of Hope honorees include Catherine and Richard Frinier, the co-founders and principals of the Richard Frinier Design Studio.

“We are incredibly fortunate this year to have giants in their respective fields such as David Binke and Catherine and Richard Frinier generously give their time, influence and passion to support City of Hope and add to the more than $21 million raised by this event alone over its 32 years,” said Rick Powell, West Coast event committee co-chair.
