Changes are coming. Stay up to date with Sleep Savvy in all its formats — print, digital, social and email.
As the year draws to a close, I can’t help but reflect on the ups and downs of the past 12 months. It has been quite a year.
As an industry, we’ve continued to face headwinds. Demand is still soft, but we have seen some signs that turnabout is coming. A survey from Minneapolis-based investment bank and financial services firm Piper Sandler reported that mattress sales were up between 3% to 5% over Labor Day weekend. The report stated, “Every furniture/mattress retailer we spoke to noted that mattress sales outperformed.” Piper Sandler concluded, “Following 2 ½ years of very negative sales trends, furniture and mattress sales continue to slowly progress toward stabilization.” I fervently hope that sales trajectories continue to show signs of improvement.
Looking ahead to next year, we are making some changes to Sleep Savvy. We are shifting the number of print issues from six a year to four. Look for them around the Las Vegas and High Point markets — January, April, July and October. You’ll continue to find the articles you look for in each issue — Retail Road Trip, Tip Sheet, Better Sleep Council research, Product Spotlight and more. Plus, we have great ideas for additional content that will help you sell more and better beds. But just because Sleep Savvy is printing quarterly doesn’t mean you won’t have access to great content year-round.
Visit our website, SleepSavvyMagazine.com, to get the latest news and exclusive online articles that will help you in your day-to-day work. Plus, you can access digital editions of the print magazine dating back to 2009. Every issue is chock-full of useful tips and strategies. Good sales and merchandising tips are always relevant.
You can also sign up to receive an email alert when each digital edition goes live. (Digital issues are often online before the print issues arrive.)
In addition to the print and digital magazine, we have an active social media presence, where you’ll find timely news, tips, product releases and more. Find us on Instagram
